Barry and Shelly Bently
Pass Creek Missionaries

In 1981 a ministry was started by the Church of God in Allen, South Dakota. Located on BIA 22 on the edge of the Pine Ridge Reservation the church property sits on almost 10 acres of land. Services were first started by Ed Parsells and then by Brother Salisbury and they were held in a trailer house.

In 2004 Barry and Shelly Bently came on board as the new leaders of the Pass Creek Ministry. The two have been working hard to add to the ministries that the church offers to the community. One current addition is a non-profit thrift store which provides affordable clothing and housewares for the Lakota people. The group offers an excellent summer program for the Lakota Children. More than 90 children attend Vacation Bible School Programs were they learn about the love of Jesus for their people.

Pass Creek offers Work Camp programs and Summer Internships for people interested in serving in a short terms missions project. The location is an excellent area to explore God's call on your life for ministry.
