Celebrating the Call

On Sunday, January 27th, the First Church of God hosted an Ordination Service for Noelle Huether.

Over 50 people braved the slick roads to help Noelle celebrate the completion of her Pastoral training. Pastor Jen Akossi, the Credentials Chairperson for the Church of God in South Dakota led the Ordination Ceremony and Pastor Patrick Boll delivered the message. A meal and fellowship followed the service.

Noelle is currently serving as the Interim Director of Youth Ministries within the First Church of God. God Bless you, Noelle, on your future endeavors in His Will!

Fall Family Festival 2012

On Sunday, October 28th, the First Church of God, in Marion, hosted their annual Fall Family Festival. Over 90 children came out dressed in their favorite costumes and enjoyed playing carnival games and earning prizes for their efforts. They also gathered candy while "trunk-or-treating" and climbed on a pirate ship or enjoyed a wheelbarrow ride. Parents and kids both enjoyed warm cider and hot cocoa as well as popcorn. The beautiful weather and wonderful support from the community made the event a great opportunity for fellowship and fun for all ages!
